About the role

Northbay Systems is undertaking a performance and reliability overhaul of its customer‑facing services. We need a proactive Cybersecurity Analyst to embed security controls while supporting rapid improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct threat modeling for newly‑designed service components
• Implement real‑time monitoring and alerting for performance‑related security events
• Audit existing configurations and harden Linux hosts
• Collaborate with DevOps to integrate security checks into CI pipelines
• Produce concise risk reports for stakeholder review

Must-have skills

• Hands‑on experience securing Linux environments
• Proficiency in Python for automation and scripting
• Strong understanding of network security and intrusion detection

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud‑native security tools
• Experience with performance testing frameworks
