About the role

Harbor Softworks is undertaking a performance and reliability overhaul of its customer‑facing services. We need a focused Frontend React Developer to rebuild critical UI paths, tighten load times, and ensure stable interactions across browsers.

Key responsibilities

• Audit existing React codebase and pinpoint performance bottlenecks
• Refactor components using hooks, memoization, and code‑splitting
• Implement lazy loading and progressive rendering strategies
• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests with React Testing Library
• Collaborate with backend engineers to align API contracts for reliability

Must-have skills

• Strong expertise in React (hooks, context, suspense)
• Proficient in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Experience optimizing front‑end performance (LCP, FID, CLS)
• Familiarity with modern build tools (Webpack, Vite) and CI pipelines

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Web Vitals and performance monitoring tools
• Experience with server‑side rendering (Next.js)
• Background in accessibility compliance (WCAG)
