About the role

NexGen Media is launching a new content delivery platform and needs a GraphQL API Developer to design and implement the core data layer. This project‑based role focuses on building a performant, secure GraphQL service that powers front‑end experiences and integrates with existing REST endpoints.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop a GraphQL schema aligned with product requirements
• Implement resolvers using NodeJS and integrate with existing REST APIs
• Optimize queries for latency and scalability
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure reliability
• Collaborate with front‑end engineers (React) for seamless data consumption

Must-have skills

• Strong experience building GraphQL APIs
• Proficiency in NodeJS and JavaScript
• Solid understanding of REST API concepts
• Experience with React integration

Nice to have

• Familiarity with authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT)
• Knowledge of performance monitoring tools
