Key Responsibilities

• Translate content from English into target languages, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and cultural relevance
• Review and edit translations to ensure high-quality output and adherence to client style guides
• Collaborate with project managers to understand project requirements, timelines, and expectations
• Utilize computer-assisted translation tools and software to streamline translation processes and improve efficiency
• Research and stay up-to-date with industry trends, terminology, and best practices in translation
• Participate in quality assurance activities, including proofreading and editing, to ensure high-quality output
• Meet deadlines and deliver high-quality translations in a timely and efficient manner
• Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide solutions
• Continuously develop and improve translation skills, knowledge, and expertise through training, mentoring, and self-study
• Contribute to the development of translation memories, glossaries, and style guides to support consistent and high-quality translation
• Participate in team meetings and discussions to share knowledge, best practices, and ideas for process improvement
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection policies when handling sensitive client information
• Stay organized, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of client needs, preferences, and expectations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Translation, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in translation, with a focus on simplicity and clarity
• Fluency in English and target languages, with excellent writing and editing skills
• Strong knowledge of translation principles, practices, and industry standards
• Proficiency in computer-assisted translation tools, such as MemoQ, Trados, or Wordfast
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on quality and accuracy
• Strong research and analytical skills, with attention to detail and cultural sensitivity
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities, deadlines, and project requirements
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with a customer-centric approach
• Certification in translation, such as CATI or CTTIC, is an asset
