Node.js Developer Needed for Legacy System Migration

About the role

BlueSky Ventures is launching a new SaaS product and needs a focused Node.js Developer to create the core backend services. You will work independently but stay aligned with the product team to deliver a scalable API layer.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express
• Implement data models and integrate with databases
• Write clean, testable JavaScript code and ensure code quality
• Collaborate with frontend and DevOps engineers for seamless delivery

Must-have skills

• Strong experience with NodeJS and Express
• Proficient JavaScript (ES6+)
• Hands‑on building and consuming REST APIs
• Understanding of asynchronous programming and error handling

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Docker or containerization
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Knowledge of testing frameworks like Jest or Mocha
