PHP Developer Needed for CMS Customization Overhaul

About the role

Summit Digital is launching a greenfield SaaS product and needs a PHP Developer to shape the backend from day one. You will work in a remote‑first, agile team focused on rapid delivery and clean architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement RESTful APIs using Laravel
• Model and optimize MySQL schemas for high‑performance queries
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code reliability
• Collaborate with product and UI teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and contribute to DevOps best practices

Must-have skills

• Strong proficiency in PHP and Laravel framework
• Hands‑on experience with MySQL database design and optimization
• Understanding of REST API principles and security best practices
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes
• Experience with message queues such as RabbitMQ
• Knowledge of front‑end technologies (Vue.js, React) for better cross‑team collaboration
