About the role

LumenWorks is preparing a high‑impact app store launch and needs a Python Backend Developer to bridge mobile front‑ends with robust server logic. You will shape the API layer, ensure data integrity, and optimize performance for a seamless user experience.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement RESTful APIs using Django and PostgreSQL
• Collaborate with mobile engineers to define data contracts and error handling
• Write clean, testable code and maintain comprehensive documentation
• Implement authentication, rate limiting, and logging mechanisms
• Perform code reviews and mentor junior contributors

Must-have skills

• Strong Python development experience (3+ years)
• Proficiency with Django framework and REST API design
• Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL schema design and query optimization
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI pipelines

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker containerization
• Understanding of mobile‑backend integration patterns
• Exposure to async programming (e.g., Celery, asyncio)
