About the role

LumenWorks is building a data pipeline that feeds analytics to operations teams. We need a REST API Developer to design, implement, and optimize services that ingest, transform, and expose operational data in real time.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop high‑performance RESTful APIs using NodeJS
• Integrate PostgreSQL data stores and ensure efficient query patterns
• Implement data validation, error handling, and logging for pipeline reliability
• Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to define API contracts
• Write unit and integration tests to maintain code quality
• Document endpoints and usage guidelines for internal consumers

Must-have skills

• Strong experience building REST APIs with NodeJS
• Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+)
• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL schema design and query optimization
• Familiarity with data pipeline concepts and streaming data

Nice to have

• Experience with containerization (Docker)
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for API deployment
• Background in analytics or operations data domains
