Senior AWS Cloud Engineer for Automated Infrastructure Setup

About the role

Ridgeline Software is modernizing a high‑traffic legacy production platform. We need an AWS Cloud Engineer to design and implement zero‑downtime migration strategies while keeping services fully available.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and deploy scalable AWS services (ECS, Lambda, RDS) for the new platform
• Automate infrastructure with IaC tools (CloudFormation/Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines
• Implement blue‑green and canary releases to achieve zero‑downtime cutovers
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot incidents, and fine‑tune cost‑efficient resources
• Collaborate with developers to containerize legacy components using Docker

Must-have skills

• Deep experience with AWS core services and networking
• Strong Docker containerization and orchestration knowledge
• Proven DevOps practices for automated deployments and monitoring
• Linux system administration and scripting expertise

Nice to have

• Experience with serverless architectures
• Familiarity with legacy monolith refactoring
• Knowledge of observability tools like Prometheus or CloudWatch
