About the role
Pinecrest Systems is launching a brand‑new SaaS product and needs an AWS Cloud Engineer to design and implement the core infrastructure from scratch. You will work with a remote‑first team, shaping the cloud architecture that will power the service for years to come.
Key responsibilities
- Architect, provision, and secure AWS environments using IaC (CloudFormation or Terraform)
- Build CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment of micro‑services
- Containerize workloads with Docker and orchestrate them on ECS or EKS
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure high availability
- Collaborate with developers to optimize cost, performance, and security
Must-have skills
- Deep experience with core AWS services (VPC, EC2, RDS, S3, IAM)
- Strong Docker containerization expertise
- Proven DevOps practices and automation scripting
- Solid Linux system administration background
Nice to have
- Experience with serverless frameworks (Lambda, API Gateway)
- Knowledge of Terraform or CloudFormation advanced modules
- Familiarity with observability tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana
