About the role

NexGen Media seeks a senior Cybersecurity Engineer to strengthen its security operations center. You will lead incident detection, response, and continuous monitoring for a fast‑growing media platform. The project focuses on enhancing SOC processes and integrating advanced threat‑intelligence feeds.

Key responsibilities

• Design and tune SIEM rules to improve detection accuracy.
• Lead real‑time incident response and forensic investigations.
• Develop and automate playbooks for common attack scenarios.
• Collaborate with network and cloud teams to harden infrastructure.
• Produce clear reports for leadership on security posture.

Must-have skills

• Extensive experience with SOC tools (SIEM, SOAR, IDS/IPS).
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, threat hunting, and incident response.
• Proficiency in Python scripting for automation.
• Hands‑on experience with Linux security hardening.
• Familiarity with AWS security services and cloud monitoring.

Nice to have

• Certifications such as CISSP, GSEC, or OSCP.
• Experience with threat‑intelligence platforms.
