About the role

CoreData Systems is building a high‑performance analytics layer to power its upcoming app‑store launch. As a Data Scientist you will bridge mobile telemetry and backend data pipelines, ensuring the new "PulseMetrics" module delivers real‑time insights for in‑app behavior and revenue forecasting.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement feature‑engineering pipelines in Python that ingest mobile event streams from Firebase into PostgreSQL.
• Develop and validate predictive models (e.g., churn, LTV) using scikit‑learn and XGBoost, delivering monthly performance reports.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to expose model predictions via REST API endpoints for the mobile client.
• Set up automated CI/CD testing for data pipelines using GitHub Actions and dbt.
• Monitor model drift and data quality with Great Expectations, issuing alerts to the product team.
• Document data schemas and model versioning in a Confluence knowledge base.

Must-have skills

• Advanced Python for data manipulation, modeling, and API integration.
• Strong SQL proficiency with PostgreSQL, including complex joins and window functions.
• Experience building and serving REST APIs in a micro‑services environment.
• Proven track record deploying machine‑learning models to production.
• Familiarity with mobile analytics tools (e.g., Firebase, Mixpanel).

Nice to have

• Knowledge of containerization (Docker) for reproducible model environments.
• Exposure to cloud data platforms such as AWS Redshift or GCP BigQuery.
