About the role

We are launching a security hardening initiative for our cloud‑hosted applications. The Database Administrator will design and implement protective measures across our data stores, ensuring compliance and resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Audit existing PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL configurations for security gaps
• Apply encryption, access controls, and patch management
• Develop automated scripts to enforce hardening policies
• Collaborate with DevOps to integrate security checks into CI pipelines
• Document standards and provide knowledge transfer to the team

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL in cloud environments
• Deep understanding of encryption, IAM, and vulnerability remediation
• Experience with AWS/Azure security services
• Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash) for automation

Nice to have

• Certifications such as CISSP or AWS Security Specialty
• Familiarity with Terraform or CloudFormation for infrastructure as code
