About the role

TechFlow Inc is scaling its data infrastructure to support rapid product growth. We need a senior Database Administrator to lead the design, optimization, and migration of critical databases for a high‑impact, short‑term project.

Key responsibilities

• Assess current database architecture and propose performance improvements.
• Design and implement migration plans from legacy systems to modern PostgreSQL and MySQL platforms.
• Configure replication, backup, and disaster‑recovery strategies.
• Monitor and tune database performance, indexing, and query execution.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure schema changes align with application requirements.
• Document procedures, configurations, and best practices.

Must-have skills

• 10+ years managing PostgreSQL and MySQL in production.
• Strong Linux system administration experience.
• Expertise in database security, encryption, and compliance.
• Proven track record with data migration and replication setups.
• Ability to write efficient SQL and troubleshoot complex queries.

Nice to have

• Experience with MongoDB for hybrid workloads.
• Familiarity with cloud‑based database services (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure Database).
