About the role

Harbor Softworks is modernizing a legacy production platform that must stay live 24/7. We need a GraphQL API Developer to design and implement a zero‑downtime migration path, integrating new services while preserving existing contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Architect a GraphQL layer over existing REST services
• Refactor critical endpoints to support seamless feature toggles
• Write automated tests to guarantee zero‑downtime releases
• Collaborate with front‑end engineers to optimize query performance
• Document migration steps and rollback procedures

Must-have skills

• Deep experience building GraphQL APIs in production
• Proficiency with NodeJS and modern JavaScript
• Strong understanding of REST API patterns and integration
• Ability to work with React teams for schema design
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for zero‑downtime deployments

Nice to have

• Familiarity with container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of monitoring tools like Prometheus or Grafana
