About the role

Pinecrest Systems is modernizing a legacy production platform that must stay online 24/7. We need a GraphQL API Developer to redesign the data layer, ensure zero‑downtime migration, and integrate with existing services.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a GraphQL schema that abstracts legacy REST endpoints.
• Build resolvers in NodeJS, leveraging React for any client‑side schema tooling.
• Develop migration scripts to shift traffic gradually without service interruption.
• Write comprehensive tests and monitoring hooks for real‑time health checks.
• Collaborate with DevOps to automate deployments and rollbacks.

Must-have skills

• Strong experience with GraphQL server development.
• Proficiency in NodeJS and REST API integration.
• Solid understanding of zero‑downtime deployment patterns.
• Ability to write clean, type‑safe code and unit tests.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with React for schema visualization tools.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerization.
• Knowledge of legacy system refactoring strategies.
