About the role

NovaForge Tech is launching a Security Hardening Initiative targeting cloud‑hosted applications. We need a Java Developer – Security Hardening to design, implement, and validate hardening measures across our microservice ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Assess existing Java services for security gaps and threat vectors
• Integrate authentication, authorization, and encryption using Spring Security
• Refactor code to adopt secure coding standards and automated scans
• Collaborate with DevOps to embed security checks into CI/CD pipelines
• Document findings and provide remediation guidance

Must-have skills

• Strong Java expertise with Spring Boot
• Deep understanding of microservices architecture
• Experience securing RESTful APIs and cloud environments
• Proficiency with security testing tools (e.g., OWASP ZAP, Snyk)

Nice to have

• Knowledge of container security (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Certifications such as CISSP or CEH
