About the role
CoreData Systems is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need a Java Developer to design, implement, and validate security controls across microservice components. The work will focus on threat modeling, secure coding, and automated compliance checks.
Key responsibilities
- Assess existing Java services for security gaps and recommend mitigations
- Implement authentication, authorization, and encryption using Spring Security
- Refactor microservices to adopt zero‑trust principles and secure communication
- Write unit and integration tests that cover security scenarios
- Collaborate with DevOps to embed security scans into CI pipelines
- Document findings and provide knowledge‑transfer sessions for the team
Must-have skills
- 5+ years Java development experience
- Deep knowledge of Spring Boot and microservice architecture
- Hands‑on experience with security frameworks (OAuth2, JWT, OWASP)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization
Nice to have
- Experience with automated security testing tools (Snyk, Checkmarx)
- Knowledge of Kubernetes security policies
- Certification such as CISSP or Cloud Security Alliance
