Senior Java Developer Needed for Microservices Deployment Sprint

About the role

CoreData Systems is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need a Java Developer to design, implement, and validate security controls across microservice components. The work will focus on threat modeling, secure coding, and automated compliance checks.

Key responsibilities

• Assess existing Java services for security gaps and recommend mitigations
• Implement authentication, authorization, and encryption using Spring Security
• Refactor microservices to adopt zero‑trust principles and secure communication
• Write unit and integration tests that cover security scenarios
• Collaborate with DevOps to embed security scans into CI pipelines
• Document findings and provide knowledge‑transfer sessions for the team

Must-have skills

• 5+ years Java development experience
• Deep knowledge of Spring Boot and microservice architecture
• Hands‑on experience with security frameworks (OAuth2, JWT, OWASP)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization

Nice to have

• Experience with automated security testing tools (Snyk, Checkmarx)
• Knowledge of Kubernetes security policies
• Certification such as CISSP or Cloud Security Alliance
