About the role

Silverline Labs is modernizing a legacy production platform that must stay live 24/7. As a Microservices Architect you will design a zero‑downtime migration path and lead the implementation of containerized services.

Key responsibilities

• Define the target microservice architecture and service boundaries
• Create a phased rollout plan that guarantees zero‑downtime cut‑over
• Design and enforce API contracts and versioning strategy
• Guide the team in refactoring monolith components into Docker‑based services
• Set up Kubernetes clusters, CI pipelines, and observability tooling
• Conduct performance testing and capacity planning for production readiness

Must-have skills

• Deep experience designing microservice ecosystems
• Proficient with Docker and Kubernetes orchestration
• Strong Java development background
• Hands‑on with API design, messaging, and data consistency patterns

Nice to have

• Experience with legacy Java EE to Spring Boot migrations
• Knowledge of service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio)
• Familiarity with automated canary releases and feature flags
