About the role
CoreData Systems is launching a greenfield SaaS product and needs a MongoDB Specialist to design the data layer from scratch. You will shape schema, indexing, and aggregation strategies that support rapid feature delivery for a remote‑first team.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable MongoDB schemas aligned with business models
- Optimize queries, indexes, and sharding for high‑performance reads/writes
- Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate MongoDB with Node.js services
- Set up monitoring, backup, and disaster‑recovery processes
- Document data models and best‑practice guidelines for the team
Must-have skills
- Deep experience with MongoDB design, aggregation pipelines, and performance tuning
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, and RESTful API development
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version‑controlled schema migrations
- Ability to work autonomously in a remote, fast‑paced environment
Nice to have
- Experience with Atlas, Kubernetes operators, or cloud‑native MongoDB deployments
- Knowledge of data security compliance (GDPR, SOC2)
- Background in building analytics dashboards on top of MongoDB
