About the role

LumenWorks is launching an integration project that will link its billing system, CRM, and internal APIs. We need a MongoDB Specialist who can design, implement, and optimize the data layer that powers these connections. The role is short‑term, highly focused, and requires deep expertise in schema design and performance tuning.

Key responsibilities

• Design MongoDB schemas that reflect billing, customer, and API data models.
• Build aggregation pipelines for real‑time data sync across services.
• Implement indexing strategies to meet sub‑second latency requirements.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to create secure, versioned data contracts.
• Write migration scripts and conduct data validation tests.

Must-have skills

• 5+ years of MongoDB design and administration.
• Proven experience integrating MongoDB with Node.js services.
• Strong understanding of ACID vs. BASE trade‑offs in distributed systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot performance bottlenecks under load.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Change Streams for event‑driven architectures.
• Experience with cloud‑hosted MongoDB clusters (Atlas, AWS).
