About the role

CoreData Systems seeks a senior Penetration Tester to assess the security posture of a critical web application platform. The engagement focuses on identifying vulnerabilities, exploiting them safely, and delivering actionable remediation guidance within a tight timeline.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive black‑box and gray‑box penetration tests on web, API, and network layers.
• Develop and execute custom exploit scripts using Python and Bash.
• Document findings with detailed proof‑of‑concepts and risk ratings.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to validate fixes.
• Provide a final report summarizing vulnerabilities, impact, and remediation recommendations.

Must-have skills

• 10+ years of hands‑on penetration testing experience.
• Deep knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and common attack vectors.
• Proficiency in Linux environments and command‑line tools.
• Advanced scripting skills in Python for automation and exploit development.
• Strong report writing and communication abilities.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud‑based infrastructure security assessments.
• Familiarity with container security testing.
