Senior PostgreSQL Administrator Needed for Database Migration

About the role

CoreData Systems is launching a critical data migration project that requires a seasoned PostgreSQL Administrator. You will ensure high‑availability, performance tuning, and secure data handling across multiple environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain PostgreSQL clusters and replication
• Perform performance analysis, indexing, and query optimization
• Develop backup, recovery, and disaster‑recovery procedures
• Collaborate with developers to integrate database changes into CI/CD pipelines
• Document architecture, processes, and operational runbooks

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing PostgreSQL in production
• Deep knowledge of replication, partitioning, and security best practices
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments and scripting (Bash, Python)
• Proficiency in monitoring tools (Prometheus, pgBadger) and cloud services (AWS RDS, GCP Cloud SQL)

Nice to have

• Familiarity with MongoDB or MySQL migrations
• Exposure to container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
