Senior Site Reliability Engineer for GitOps Rollout

About the role

Harbor Softworks is launching the Aegis Shield initiative to harden security across its cloud‑hosted services. As a Site Reliability Engineer you will lead the effort to embed security controls directly into the CI/CD pipeline and runtime environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement automated security scans for Terraform IaC using Checkov and tfsec.
• Integrate runtime vulnerability monitoring for Docker images in ECR with Trivy and AWS Inspector.
• Build a centralized audit logging framework on CloudWatch Logs and Athena for compliance reporting.
• Collaborate with development squads to remediate findings within a 48‑hour SLA.
• Establish hardened AMI baselines and enforce CIS Benchmarks via Ansible.
• Document security hardening playbooks and conduct knowledge‑transfer workshops.

Must-have skills

• Extensive experience with AWS services (EC2, EKS, IAM).
• Strong Linux administration and scripting (Bash/Python).
• Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm chart management.
• Deep knowledge of SRE principles, monitoring, and incident response.
• Hands‑on IaC using Terraform and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).

Nice to have

• Experience with service mesh security (Istio, Linkerd).
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as PCI‑DSS or SOC2.
