Senior Site Reliability Engineer Needed for Container Platform Build

About the role

BlueSky Ventures is launching a rapid CI/CD and platform automation sprint to accelerate release cycles. As a Site Reliability Engineer you will own the end‑to‑end reliability of the new "Nimbus Release Engine" module, ensuring seamless deployments and robust observability across our cloud stack.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement GitOps pipelines using ArgoCD and Terraform for the Nimbus Release Engine.
• Automate container image builds and security scans with Docker, Trivy, and GitHub Actions.
• Configure and tune AWS ECS/EKS clusters for zero‑downtime rollouts.
• Develop custom Prometheus alerts and Grafana dashboards to monitor release health.
• Collaborate with developers to refactor legacy scripts into reusable Helm charts.
• Deliver a sprint‑end report documenting performance gains and next‑step recommendations.

Must-have skills

• Extensive experience with CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD).
• Strong Linux system administration and scripting (Bash/Python).
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes orchestration and Helm.
• Proficiency in AWS services (ECS, EKS, CloudWatch, IAM).
• Solid understanding of monitoring, logging, and incident response.

Nice to have

• Experience with chaos engineering frameworks.
• Familiarity with cost‑optimization strategies on AWS.
