Terraform Engineer – Release Engineering Upgrade

About the role

Northbay Systems is expanding its B2B platform with a new multi‑tenant feature set. We need a Terraform Engineer to design, implement, and maintain infrastructure as code that supports isolated tenant environments while keeping operational overhead low.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and codify multi‑tenant AWS environments using Terraform
• Build reusable modules for networking, security, and data isolation
• Integrate Terraform pipelines into existing CI/CD workflows
• Collaborate with product and backend teams to translate feature requirements into scalable infrastructure
• Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices for IaC

Must-have skills

• Strong experience with Terraform on AWS
• Deep understanding of multi‑tenant architecture patterns
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)
• Solid grasp of networking, IAM, and security controls in cloud

Nice to have

• Experience with Terragrunt or CDK
• Knowledge of monitoring and cost‑optimization strategies
• Familiarity with container orchestration (EKS/ECS)
