About the role

Pinecrest Systems is modernizing a legacy production platform that must stay online 24/7. We need an Android Developer to refactor key modules, introduce Jetpack Compose, and ensure zero‑downtime releases.

Key responsibilities

• Migrate legacy UI screens to modern Compose architecture
• Implement feature flags and canary releases for seamless updates
• Optimize background services for low memory impact
• Write unit and UI tests to maintain release confidence
• Collaborate with DevOps to integrate CI pipelines for Android builds

Must-have skills

• Strong Kotlin and Java proficiency
• Hands‑on Android SDK experience
• Familiarity with Gradle, Git, and CI/CD concepts
• Understanding of zero‑downtime deployment patterns

Nice to have

• Experience with Jetpack libraries (Navigation, Hilt)
• Knowledge of modern architecture components (MVVM, Clean Architecture)
• Exposure to cloud‑backed services (Firebase, AWS)
