About the role

Harbor Softworks is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need a GraphQL API Developer to design, implement, and audit secure GraphQL endpoints that protect sensitive data while supporting existing services.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop GraphQL schemas that enforce strict authentication and authorization.
• Integrate GraphQL services with existing Node.js back‑ends and REST APIs.
• Implement input validation, rate limiting, and logging for security compliance.
• Conduct threat modeling and code reviews focused on injection, over‑exposure, and data leakage.
• Collaborate with DevOps to deploy hardened services in a CI/CD pipeline.

Must-have skills

• Proven experience building production‑grade GraphQL APIs.
• Strong knowledge of security best practices for cloud environments.
• Hands‑on React experience for client‑side query handling.
• NodeJS expertise and familiarity with REST API integration.

Nice to have

• Experience with OAuth2/OpenID Connect flows.
• Familiarity with AWS security services or similar cloud providers.
• Knowledge of automated testing for GraphQL schemas.
