We are seeking an experienced Senior PHP Developer to help modernize, optimize, and maintain legacy PHP applications. You will be responsible for refactoring outdated codebases, upgrading PHP versions, fixing security vulnerabilities, and ensuring seamless database performance with zero downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
Refactor and upgrade legacy PHP code (PHP 5.x / 7.x to PHP 8.x).
Audit and optimize MySQL queries and database architecture.
Identify and resolve critical bugs, performance bottlenecks, and security flaws.
Ensure code maintainability, clean architecture, and API integration readiness.
Requirements:
5+ years of hands-on experience with core PHP and modern frameworks (Laravel, Symfony, etc.).
Strong track record of legacy codebase migrations and refactoring.
Deep expertise in MySQL, query optimization, and RESTful APIs.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills for remote collaboration.
