About the role

BlueSky Ventures is launching a sprint to automate its CI/CD pipeline and platform releases. We need a Python Backend Developer who can design, implement, and fine‑tune automation scripts that speed up deployments while keeping reliability high.

Key responsibilities

• Build and extend CI/CD workflows using Python and GitHub Actions or GitLab CI
• Create reusable automation modules for environment provisioning and rollback
• Integrate testing suites and static analysis into the release pipeline
• Collaborate with DevOps and QA to ensure smooth hand‑offs
• Document processes and provide knowledge transfer for future sprints

Must-have skills

• Strong Python development experience (3+ years)
• Proficiency with Django for internal tooling
• Deep understanding of REST API design and consumption
• Hands‑on with PostgreSQL schema migrations and performance tuning
• Experience automating CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of Terraform or similar IaC tools
• Exposure to monitoring and alerting solutions
