About the role

Northbay Systems is preparing a major app store launch that requires tight alignment between mobile front‑end and backend services. We need a Docker Kubernetes Specialist to design, implement, and fine‑tune the container orchestration that will power the new release.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and deploy Kubernetes clusters optimized for mobile API traffic
• Create reproducible Docker images for micro‑services and CI pipelines
• Implement scaling policies, health checks, and rolling updates
• Collaborate with mobile engineers to ensure API latency meets release targets
• Document deployment processes and provide knowledge transfer

Must-have skills

• Deep experience with Docker containerization
• Advanced Kubernetes administration (clusters, Helm, networking)
• Strong DevOps mindset and CI/CD pipeline design

Nice to have

• Familiarity with mobile backend patterns (GraphQL, gRPC)
• Experience with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Knowledge of monitoring tools like Prometheus & Grafana
