About the role

NexGen Media is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need a GraphQL API Developer to reinforce our API layer, ensure data protection, and integrate with existing services.

Key responsibilities

• Audit and patch GraphQL resolvers for security vulnerabilities
• Implement authentication and authorization checks using industry‑standard protocols
• Optimize schema design to reduce attack surface
• Collaborate with DevOps to enforce secure CI/CD pipelines
• Document security enhancements and provide knowledge transfer

Must-have skills

• Proven experience building and securing GraphQL APIs
• Strong knowledge of OAuth2, JWT, and role‑based access control
• Hands‑on with NodeJS and integration of REST APIs
• Familiarity with cloud security best practices (AWS/GCP/Azure)

Nice to have

• Experience with automated security testing tools
• Background in incident response or threat modeling
• Knowledge of container security (Docker, Kubernetes)
