Senior MongoDB Specialist for End-to-End High Availability Setup

About the role

We are launching a security hardening initiative for our cloud‑hosted applications. As a MongoDB Specialist you will ensure data stores are fortified against emerging threats while maintaining performance.

Key responsibilities

• Audit existing MongoDB deployments for security gaps and misconfigurations.
• Implement role‑based access controls, encryption at rest, and TLS for data in transit.
• Design and apply index and query optimizations that do not compromise security policies.
• Collaborate with DevOps to integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines.
• Document hardening procedures and provide knowledge transfer to the internal team.

Must-have skills

• Strong experience securing MongoDB clusters in cloud environments.
• Proficiency with authentication mechanisms, audit logging, and encryption.
• Ability to write scripts for automation and monitoring.
• Solid understanding of network security fundamentals.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AWS/GCP security services.
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools.
• Knowledge of compliance standards such as PCI‑DSS or SOC2.
