About the role

Orbit Labs is preparing a major app store launch that requires tight alignment between mobile front‑ends and backend services. We need a MongoDB Specialist to design, optimize, and support the data layer that powers real‑time features across iOS and Android clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design schema and indexing strategies for high‑throughput mobile workloads
• Implement data migration scripts and versioned collections
• Collaborate with React Native and NodeJS teams to define API contracts
• Monitor performance, set up alerts, and fine‑tune queries
• Document best practices and handover procedures for future sprints

Must-have skills

• Deep experience with MongoDB clustering, sharding, and aggregation pipelines
• Strong command of NodeJS and JavaScript data handling
• Understanding of mobile data sync patterns and offline caching
• Ability to write clear technical documentation

Nice to have

• Familiarity with GraphQL gateways
• Experience in CI/CD pipelines for database migrations
