About the role

Orbit Labs is boosting test automation to cut regression risk before major launches. We need a PostgreSQL Administrator who can design, implement, and maintain robust database pipelines that feed automated test suites and support rapid feedback loops.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and tune PostgreSQL clusters for high‑throughput test data loads
• Develop scripts to generate and refresh realistic test datasets
• Integrate database health checks into CI pipelines
• Collaborate with QA engineers to align schema changes with test cases
• Document backup, restore, and disaster‑recovery procedures for test environments

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing PostgreSQL in CI/CD contexts
• Strong SQL performance tuning and indexing expertise
• Experience with schema versioning tools (e.g., Flyway, Liquibase)
• Proficiency in Linux shell scripting and automation

Nice to have

• Hands‑on with MongoDB or MySQL for hybrid test data stores
• Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes for containerized DB instances
• Knowledge of test frameworks like Selenium or Cypress
