About the role

CloudWave Digital is preparing a major app‑store launch that requires tight alignment between mobile front‑ends and backend services. We need a PostgreSQL Administrator to design, tune, and secure the database layer that will power real‑time analytics and user data sync for the new app.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement high‑availability PostgreSQL clusters for mobile traffic spikes
• Optimize queries and indexing for low‑latency data access across iOS and Android clients
• Set up automated backups, point‑in‑time recovery, and monitoring dashboards
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate PostgreSQL with micro‑services and cache layers
• Conduct security reviews, role‑based access controls, and data‑encryption compliance

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing PostgreSQL in production environments
• Deep knowledge of replication, sharding, and performance tuning
• Experience with Linux, scripting (Bash/Python) and CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) for managed DB services

Nice to have

• Hands‑on with MongoDB or MySQL for hybrid data models
• Exposure to container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker)
• Understanding of mobile backend patterns and API gateways
