About the role

CoreData Systems is preparing a mobile‑backend alignment for an upcoming app store release. We need a PostgreSQL Administrator to ensure the database layer scales with the new mobile traffic and integrates tightly with our backend services.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement high‑availability PostgreSQL clusters for mobile API workloads
• Fine‑tune queries and indexes to meet sub‑second response targets
• Automate backup, restore, and disaster‑recovery procedures
• Collaborate with backend engineers to align schema changes with mobile feature rollouts
• Monitor performance metrics and proactively resolve bottlenecks

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing PostgreSQL in production
• Deep knowledge of replication, partitioning, and query optimization
• Experience with Linux/Unix administration and scripting
• Ability to work across time zones and communicate clearly

Nice to have

• Familiarity with MongoDB or MySQL migrations
• Exposure to container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Understanding of mobile backend patterns and API gateways
