About the role

LumenWorks is enhancing its operational analytics by building a robust data pipeline. We need a PostgreSQL Administrator to design, tune, and maintain the core database layer that feeds real‑time dashboards for ops teams.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement high‑performance PostgreSQL schemas for streaming ingest.
• Optimize queries and indexes to support low‑latency analytics.
• Automate backup, recovery, and replication across cloud regions.
• Collaborate with data engineers to integrate PostgreSQL with ETL tools.
• Monitor health, set alerts, and resolve performance incidents.

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing PostgreSQL in production environments.
• Deep knowledge of partitioning, vacuum strategies, and query planning.
• Experience with Linux, scripting (Bash/Python) and cloud DB services.
• Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning abilities.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with MongoDB or MySQL for cross‑database reporting.
• Exposure to containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Understanding of data warehouse concepts and analytics tools.
