About the role

Ridgeline Software is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need a Python Backend Developer to strengthen authentication, harden data storage, and audit API surfaces.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement security‑focused enhancements to existing Django services
• Integrate token‑based authentication and role‑based access controls
• Conduct code reviews and threat modeling for new REST endpoints
• Collaborate with DevOps to enforce secure CI/CD pipelines
• Write automated tests and monitoring hooks for vulnerability detection

Must-have skills

• 5+ years Python development, deep Django expertise
• Proven experience securing REST APIs and cloud environments
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL security features and migrations
• Familiarity with OWASP guidelines and penetration testing basics

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS security services (IAM, KMS)
• Knowledge of container security (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Certifications such as CISSP or AWS Security Specialty
