DevOps Engineer Needed for Production Kubernetes Deployment

About the role

LumenWorks is launching a performance and reliability overhaul of its customer‑facing services. We need a DevOps Engineer who can design, implement, and fine‑tune automation pipelines to boost uptime and speed while supporting a part‑time schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Audit existing CI/CD workflows and identify bottlenecks
• Build resilient infrastructure on AWS using IaC tools
• Containerize legacy components with Docker and orchestrate them via Kubernetes
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and auto‑scaling for critical services
• Collaborate with developers to embed performance best practices

Must-have skills

• Strong experience with AWS cloud services
• Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes orchestration
• Hands‑on CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance
• Solid understanding of Linux systems and networking

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation
• Familiarity with performance testing tools
• Knowledge of logging and observability stacks (ELK, Prometheus)
