About the role

TechFlow Inc is building a real‑time analytics backbone for its operations teams. As a GraphQL API Developer you will shape the "PulseStream" data pipeline module, turning raw event streams into queryable insights. This short‑term effort focuses on delivering a high‑performance GraphQL layer that powers dashboards and automated alerts.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a GraphQL schema that abstracts Kafka‑based event streams for analytics consumption.
• Develop Node.js resolvers using Apollo Server, optimizing for sub‑millisecond latency.
• Integrate existing REST services into the GraphQL layer with schema stitching and federation.
• Set up CI pipelines in GitHub Actions to run automated schema validation and load testing.
• Collaborate with data engineers to map PostgreSQL and Snowflake tables to GraphQL types.
• Deliver a functional prototype of the PulseStream query console within the first three weeks.

Must-have skills

• Strong experience building GraphQL APIs with Apollo Server or similar.
• Proficiency in Node.js and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Understanding of REST API integration and data transformation.
• Familiarity with event streaming platforms such as Kafka.
• Ability to write automated tests using Jest or Mocha.

Nice to have

• Experience with Snowflake or other cloud data warehouses.
• Knowledge of performance profiling tools like clinic.js.
