About the role

BlueSky Ventures is building a next‑generation platform that relies on highly decoupled services. We need an experienced Microservices Architect to design, implement, and guide the evolution of our service ecosystem, ensuring robustness and scalability.

Key responsibilities

• Define the overall microservices strategy and service boundaries.
• Design RESTful APIs and event‑driven communication patterns.
• Create reference architectures using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Establish CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
• Mentor the development team on best practices and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with product owners to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Must-have skills

• Deep expertise in microservices design and implementation.
• Proficiency with Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Strong Java development background, including Spring Boot.
• Extensive experience building and securing REST APIs.
• Solid understanding of scalability, fault tolerance, and monitoring.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with event streaming platforms such as Kafka.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP.
