PHP Developer – Backend Scalability Delivery

About the role

Keystone Digital is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need a PHP Developer who can audit existing code, plug vulnerabilities, and embed best‑practice security controls while keeping performance intact.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct security reviews of PHP codebases and identify injection, XSS, and authentication flaws
• Implement hardening measures using Laravel middleware, input sanitization, and secure session handling
• Refactor database interactions to use prepared statements and least‑privilege MySQL accounts
• Write automated tests that verify security fixes and prevent regressions
• Collaborate with DevOps to align application hardening with cloud security policies

Must-have skills

• 3+ years of PHP development with Laravel framework
• Strong understanding of web security OWASP Top 10
• Hands‑on experience with MySQL security features and query optimization
• Ability to produce clean, documented code and unit tests

Nice to have

• Familiarity with containerized deployments (Docker)
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure security services
