About the role
Orbit Labs is preparing a major product launch and needs to strengthen its test automation framework. As an AWS Cloud Engineer you will design and implement cloud‑native automation pipelines that cut regression risk and accelerate release cycles.
Key responsibilities
- Architect and deploy scalable CI/CD pipelines on AWS using CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CloudFormation.
- Integrate automated test suites (Selenium, Cypress) into the pipelines to enforce pre‑launch quality gates.
- Containerize test environments with Docker and orchestrate them via ECS or EKS.
- Monitor pipeline health, troubleshoot failures, and continuously improve reliability.
- Document architecture decisions and handover procedures for the internal team.
Must-have skills
- Deep experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch).
- Proficiency in Docker containerization and orchestration.
- Strong DevOps mindset: CI/CD, IaC, automated testing.
- Solid Linux administration and scripting skills.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Terraform or CloudFormation for infrastructure as code.
- Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, Locust).
- Knowledge of security best practices in CI/CD pipelines.
