About the role

BlueSky Ventures is building an advanced visual analytics platform to automate image interpretation for industrial inspection. We need a senior Computer Vision Engineer to design, implement, and optimize deep‑learning models that detect defects and classify objects in high‑resolution imagery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and fine‑tune convolutional neural networks for defect detection.
• Integrate vision models into existing pipelines using Python APIs.
• Perform data preprocessing, augmentation, and labeling workflow improvements.
• Optimize inference speed for real‑time deployment on edge devices.
• Collaborate with data scientists to evaluate model performance and iterate quickly.
• Document code, experiments, and results for reproducibility.

Must-have skills

• Strong experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow for computer vision.
• Proficiency in Python for model development and data pipelines.
• Solid understanding of image preprocessing, augmentation, and annotation tools.
• Experience deploying models on cloud or edge environments.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code and unit tests.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with OpenCV and image processing libraries.
• Knowledge of MLOps tools for model versioning and monitoring.
