About the role

Orbit Labs is launching an integration project that ties billing, CRM, and internal APIs into a unified data layer. We need a Database Administrator to design, implement, and maintain the databases that will support seamless data flow across these systems.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and configure PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL instances for high‑availability.
• Develop ETL pipelines to synchronize data between billing, CRM, and internal services.
• Implement security controls, backup strategies, and disaster‑recovery plans.
• Monitor performance, tune queries, and resolve bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with developers and integration engineers to define data models and API contracts.

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL in production.
• Strong SQL/NoSQL query optimization and schema design.
• Experience with data integration, APIs, and ETL tooling.
• Proficiency in Linux environments and automation scripts.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of cloud database services (AWS RDS, Azure Cosmos DB).
• Familiarity with containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Background in financial or CRM data structures.
