Senior Identity Access Management Specialist – Multi-Region Security Hardening

About the role

CoreData Systems is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. As an Identity Access Management Specialist you will lead the design and implementation of robust IAM controls for the new "NimbusGate" module, ensuring least‑privilege access across AWS environments.

Key responsibilities

• Audit existing IAM policies for the NimbusGate micro‑service and remediate over‑privileged permissions within the first two weeks.
• Design and deploy role‑based access control (RBAC) using AWS IAM, IAM Roles, and SSO integration with Azure AD.
• Implement automated policy validation pipelines in GitLab CI/CD, leveraging Open Policy Agent (OPA) for continuous compliance.
• Configure and test MFA enforcement and conditional access rules for privileged accounts.
• Document all changes in Confluence and produce a security hardening checklist for future releases.
• Conduct a knowledge‑transfer workshop for the internal DevSecOps team before project close.

Must-have skills

• Deep experience with AWS IAM, IAM Roles, and policy management.
• Proficiency in SSO integrations (Azure AD, Okta) and MFA solutions.
• Hands‑on knowledge of IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) for IAM resources.
• Strong scripting abilities in Python or Bash for automation.
• Understanding of zero‑trust principles and least‑privilege design.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with OPA/Gatekeeper policy as code.
• Experience securing container orchestration platforms (EKS, ECS).
