About the role

CloudWave Digital is launching a suite of micro‑service APIs and needs an architect to uplift test automation. Your focus will be to design a resilient automation framework that cuts regression risk before each release.

Key responsibilities

• Define a microservices testing strategy aligned with CI pipelines
• Build reusable Docker‑based test harnesses for Java services
• Integrate automated suites with Kubernetes deployments for smoke and end‑to‑end checks
• Collaborate with product owners to prioritize high‑impact test scenarios
• Document best practices and handover guidelines for the engineering team

Must-have skills

• Deep experience architecting microservices in Java
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes orchestration
• Strong background in test automation frameworks (e.g., JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber)
• Ability to translate business risk into automated test coverage

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins
• Exposure to performance testing of distributed systems
