Senior MongoDB Specialist – Query Optimization Overhaul

About the role

CoreData Systems is revamping the performance and reliability of its customer‑facing services. We need a MongoDB Specialist to design, tune, and implement robust data solutions that sustain high traffic loads.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze current MongoDB deployments and identify bottlenecks
• Implement sharding, indexing, and replica set strategies for optimal latency
• Develop monitoring dashboards and automated alerts for uptime
• Collaborate with backend engineers to refactor queries for efficiency
• Document best‑practice configurations and handover procedures

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing production MongoDB clusters
• Deep knowledge of aggregation pipelines, transactions, and performance profiling
• Experience with cloud‑hosted MongoDB (Atlas, AWS, Azure)
• Strong scripting ability in JavaScript/NodeJS for automation

Nice to have

• Familiarity with container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Background in CI/CD pipelines for database migrations
