About the role

BlueSky Ventures is building an intelligent customer‑support platform that understands natural language queries and provides accurate, context‑aware responses. We need a senior NLP Engineer to lead the development of core language models and integrate them into our backend services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, train, and fine‑tune transformer‑based models for intent detection and entity extraction.
• Develop pipelines for data preprocessing, annotation, and continuous model evaluation.
• Integrate NLP models with existing APIs and ensure low‑latency inference.
• Collaborate with product and UX teams to define conversational flows.
• Implement monitoring and alerting for model drift and performance degradation.
• Document architecture decisions and create reusable code libraries.

Must-have skills

• 5+ years of experience in NLP and conversational AI.
• Proficiency with Python libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face Transformers.
• Strong understanding of language model training, fine‑tuning, and deployment.
• Experience building RESTful services to serve NLP models.
• Solid grasp of data pipelines, versioning, and reproducibility.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with large‑scale LLMs and prompt engineering.
• Exposure to cloud ML platforms (AWS SageMaker, GCP AI Platform).
